The Heart Behind Our Mission
Julie is the founder of Transition Coordinators and supports families in navigating special education, post-secondary transition planning, and supports coordination. With over 25 years of experience in school counseling, special education, and behavioral health, she brings extensive knowledge of school systems and community resources.
Julie provides individualized, person-centered transition planning and supports coordination that helps families locate services, coordinate with schools and providers, and monitor service delivery. Her collaborative approach supports students in planning for post-secondary education, employment readiness, and independent living, in alignment with their goals and authorized services.
When she’s not working with families, Julie can be found spending time with her four adult children and her fur baby, laughing with friends, traveling, exploring different cultures, savoring great food, and unwinding at the beach.
